And grateful for the wonderful picnic basket we received as a wedding gift 9 1/2 years ago that makes it so easy (and authentic) to just pack up and go! Thanks Gibson's!
Jill--when we first got married, any Sunday that was good weather Brady and I would head out with a picnic lunch and good books to read after church each Sunday. We've been much more sporadic about it since our energetic boys have joined us. It takes a bit more planning and work on my part to make it happen; however when we go it is just a wonderful time. Some of our favorite places to go are to this lovely park in Smithfield (I'll have to find out the name) it is like a walking park with a little creek that goes by, a small play area, shade, sun and it is near the base of the canyon there, we also love to go up BlackSmith Fork Canyon..there are little picnic sites and a park, sometimes we go to first or second Dam up Logan Canyon. It really depends on what time it is, how much time we have (ie if someone has a meeting we go somewhere closer), and how cranky the kids are. Now that the baby is less of a baby I really hope in the spring that we will make more of an effort to go more regularly.

Ohhhh. I'd be interested to learn more about this. Like how often, and where do you go? What a wonderful tradition.
