Exactly!
I've started taking piano lessons. I decided on this because I can take time out to practice each day and will need to make time to slow down and do that otherwise my piano teacher will know I haven't practiced when I go for the lesson.
That and maybe relinquish some of my control and let my friend's help out a bit....
